Hello EUGINIE! How are you? How is life treating you lately?

I am doing great, life is bringing it sets of blessings and challenges but overall I feel so grateful and can’t wait to welcome 2025.

Until then I am doing my best to be in the moment and collect memories. I hope you are keeping well

How did you get into modelling, what has your journey been like so far?

My modelling career started at a young age as I was a child model for a french brand carrying my smile everywhere with me. I then got scouted as a teen but had to decide between basketball and modelling which required at the time a different body and lifestyle so I carried on with basketball despite having great opportunities in modelling.

Fast forward and the industry being now what it is I then came back with a different mindset than how I left and willing to embrace the places I am positioned in without compromising, embracing who I am in and out : a basketball player who loves to express herself and create through modelling too.

What other skills or talents do you have that you like to do in your spare time? - please tell us about your basketball career

As you guessed, I am into basketball and started at a very young age. This sport instilled in me core values that I still carry with me till that day of perseverance discipline and confidence. I’ve learned also the importance of the mindset which led me to create my coaching platform called Selah Empowerment ( @Selah_empw) where I created an unique space for women to allow themselves to dream again and reach any professional goals they are after. The sky is the limit.

What does your typical morning look like on shoot days vs. non-shoot days?

A typical day when I shoot or not always start with a morning meditation, journaling and setting intentions for the day. Acknowledging what went well the day before and reaffirm who I am with positive affirmations. Breakfast of course is very key for a foodie like me and I must say oat is my thing with bananas and honey on the top then It’s time for an early basketball session with my basketball coach ( Ruth from the London All Stars ) or head to a boxing class then the day is on.

If it’s a shoot day, I already looked at the itinerary the day before and my bag also ready so I only need to get myself ready and go on set( ideally 15 min before as we never know especially in London things can happen haha)

I am a routine girl so shoot or not shoot I always make sure that I am set properly mentally, spiritually and physically.

What advice do you wish you were given when you first started out in the industry?

You cannot expect things to land just because you are a signed model. It’s quite the opposite. Being signed is the beginning of a long yet worth it process that requires you to have goals to look at and celebrate, believe in the why you are in this very place and accept that you cannot control certains aspects ( rejection or things not going the way you predicted) . You need to accept it and embrace the journey always knowing that you are there for a reason, trust the process, invest and work on yourself and keep loving yourself dearly meanwhile.

What is your main moto(s) in life?

This day won’t come back so count your blessings ( small, bigs) and enjoy the ride as it’s a marathon, not a run.

“This day won’t come back so count your blessings ( small, big) and enjoy the ride as it’s a marathon, not a run. ”

Do you have any dreams and ambitions you’d like to accomplish, or are you taking every day as it comes right now?

I have so many dreams, certains already ticked ( ex I went to Brazil this year and it was one of my dream destination, playing national league basketball which I am doing now ect) but overall I have learned to then celebrate those accomplishments and not being addicted by the pleasure ( dopamine) of reaching a goal. So yes still dreaming for so many things but I am also taking every single day as it comes otherwise you’re missing the fun part which is being instead of doing.
